I practice patient-centered, evidence-based medicine. I use a motivational style to support patients in making positive changes for health. As an educator in the internal medicine program, I supervise and teach our residents throughout their training. As chair of the Evidence-Based Medicine Task Force for the Society of General Internal Medicine, I work toward communicating evidence effectively to improve patient care on a national level.
