Subsequently, Dr. Muratore moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to complete her general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota where she also engaged in two years of clinical research. Her research there spanned perioperative infection and sepsis identification and reduction, total pancreatectomy islet autotransplantation for chronic pancreatitis, medical student surgical education, and clinical outcomes in trauma/critical care.Moving back to Colorado was a natural choice for Dr. Muratore.
