Dr. Gregory A. Tovmassian was born in Russia after his parents moved there from Armenia. His family immigrated to Sacramento in the mid-1990s, where Dr. Tovmassian graduated from Mira Loma High School. He then went on to receive a degree in science prior to being accepted to the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California.After completing the four year program, he graduated and was accepted to his the residency program at Kaiser Santa Clara (California). There he received training in foot and ankle surgery with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle privileges. After completing his training he moved back to the Sacramento area and opened Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center in Fair Oaks, where he enjoys using his knowledge and skills to serve the community he grew up in.Also, Dr. Tovmassian is involved in clinical research, actively participating in clinical trials in wound care and other foot and ankle related research.He is a member of numerous professional associations such as American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA).My personal goal is to help as many members of the community as possible through the opportunity I am fortunate to have after completing my training and returning back to my home community. Podiatrist Dr. Byunghee Kevin Kim was born and raised in Busan, Korea, and his family moved to San Francisco, CA in 1993 seeking higher education. Dr. Kim graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a major in biology and minor in applied mathematics. He continued his education at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, where he completed medical school with honors bestowed by the Pi Delta National Honor Society. He is board qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery.Dr. Kim finished his surgical education at Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto. This residency program involved hands-on training at Stanford Medical Center, Kaiser Medical Foundation and various private offices and surgical centers around the Bay Area. He also completed a fellowship specializing in trauma, reconstructive foot and diabetic limb salvage/preservation at The University of Louisville, one of only a handful of such programs offered in the nation. He also served as Wound care director at the University of Louisville Hospital from 2014 to 2015. Mr. Kim is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Gangrene. I believe in taking the time to help patients understand the reason their foot and ankle problem exists, the treatments available, expected results of the treatments, and their overall prognosis. Outside of specific traumatic injuries, I believe in exhausting conservative treatment options before taking a patient to the operating room. I enjoy the clinical and surgical aspects of podiatry with my ultimate goal for all patients to return to their previous level of activity.
