Dr. Craig Olson

Dallas native Dr. Charles Iliya is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is dual board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, with additional specialization in trauma and vascular surgery. Dr. Iliya graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his general surgery residency training at St. Paul Medical Center, also in Dallas. He went on to complete his vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.Dr. Iliya has been on the medical staff of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas for more than 25 years. He has decades of experience in the use of advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with vascular surgery as his area of special interest. In 2005, Dr. Iliya championed the National Vascular Access Improvement Initiative. He has been honored with the President's Recognition Award given out by the Presbyterian Healthcare System.Previously, Dr. Iliya served as a Clinical Instructor and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical School. He also served as Chief of Medical Staff for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center White Rock in Dallas. He speaks fluent Spanish. Dr. Avafia Dossa has been a board-certified general surgeon since 2018. He specializes in endoscopic, laparoscopic and robot-assisted laparoscopic surgeries for patients of all ages. He currently serves as an acute care surgeon and member of the teaching faculty at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. Since 2020, he has also served as a proctor for the da Vinci® Robotic Surgery system.Dr. Dossa earned his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio. He completed his general surgery residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Dossa is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Eastern Association of the Surgery of Trauma, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and Texas Medical Association. Away from the operating room, he enjoys traveling, playing tennis and cooking. Dr. Dossa speaks fluent French. He served as a member of the Parkland Memorial Hospital Ethics committee throughout his medical training. He was named Chief Resident in the final year of his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Edmundson received other honors during his time at Baylor as well, including Top ABSITE Score, Raleigh Ross Scholar and the David B. McReynold Servant's Heart Award. He went on to complete his surgical critical care fellowship at The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also served as a specialist within the Division of Trauma & Emergency Surgery.As a fellowship-trained surgical critical care physician, Dr. Edmundson cares for patients with acute, life-threatening and potentially life-threatening surgical conditions, including tissue injuries due to trauma/wounds, burns, infections, acute inflammation and ischemia. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Society of Critical Care Medicine-Texas Chapter. When not with his patients, Dr. Edmundson enjoys film photography and playing on his electric and acoustic guitars.
