She attended The Ohio State University in Columbus for her undergraduate studies and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Mehta completed an internal medicine residency and a rheumatology fellowship with NYU Long Island Hospital in Mineola, New York. Dual board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology, Dr. Mehta spent the first few years of her career working as a rheumatologist for a health system in Fargo, North Dakota.
