There, she was a Trustee Scholar and awardee of the Malcolm X Scholarship due to her leadership in community service. She completed her medical training at Mercy Medical Center, Howard University Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic. She has a strong interest in volunteerism and has participated in medical missions globally and in underserved areas within the United States. Dr. Kaleem is also known for her involvement in grass roots legislative efforts that impact the way that ophthalmology care is delivered and received in the United States.
