After completing a retina fellowship at the Sydney Eye Hospital in Sydney, Australia, she worked for Project Orbis as a staff ophthalmologist based on an airplane in Africa and Central America. Dr. Loftfield speaks fluent English and Spanish. She is board certified in ophthalmology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1990. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and her professional interest is in glaucoma related cases. Dr. Loftfield practices at Ochsner's main campus in New Orleans.'.
