In her education, Dr. DeSalvo received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she was selected for the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, won the Jacob Van Ek Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Contributions to the University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She completed her medical doctorate at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she won several awards including the Gottesfeld Memorial Award for Overall Outstanding Student Performance and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and her Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she won awards for her research in the field of thyroidology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, and�has additional training in radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules.�
In her free time, the Colorado native enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, and spending time with her family and dog.�
