Overview
I have been an internist for almost 20 years, the last three with Duke Primary Care. My areas of interest are preventive medicine, women’s health and diabetes management. While every physician has a different source of love for their job, I believe that the single most significant motivator for me is the ability to see the positive impact I can have on people’s lives. Throughout my practice as an internist, besides providing compassionate care, I have loved being able to foster patient empowerment through education and guidance. I’m a proud mother of two children, one in high school and the other in college. My husband, a cardiologist, motivates me to exercise regularly -- as I often advise my patients. Hiking, traveling, cooking and listening to music are my favorite pastime activities when I am not working.
