Dr. Houman Homayoun
Overview
Houman Homayoun, MD, is a neurologist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is medical director of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program and is an assistant professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed his residency at UPMC, followed by his fellowship at Rush University Medical College. Dr. Homayoun’s clinical and research interests include the management of various movement disorders with a special interest in deep brain stimulation therapy for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, and the Parkinson Study Group.
