Prior to his medical degree, Dr. Thorns served as an Army Combat Medic at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX, and gained valuable nursing experience as a Dialysis Nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, a CCU Nurse at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX, and a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA.
