Overview
My feet have hurt me my entire life! As a young athlete in high school I was diagnosed with a congenital foot problem, and the first doctor I saw offered to sell me his old violin and advised me to stop playing football. Inspite of the physical limitation placed before me, I was undeterred to obtain my goal. I eventually found a doctor who listened to me and was very helpful in teaching me about my problem, and how to best deal with it. I attended Utah State University on a full ride football scholarship. I continued to deal with my foot pain, and it was during this time, I decided I was going to help others with their foot problems.I know from first hand experience, it's important to be a doctor who listens to his patients, who is able to teach and communicate, and is able to present a helpful, individualized treatment plan for every patient.I find great satisfaction and happiness in helping people of all ages over come their foot pain and realize their physical goals. Whether my patients are on the playing field or just wanting to get through the day with a smile on their face and a little less pain.

Board certified in podiatric surgery and wound care, Dr. Su is here to help.Upon completing his undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University, Dr. Su received his doctorate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to establishing Advanced Foot & Ankle Specialists of Arizona in 1998, he was a part of several other organizations. He completed two years of surgical residency at the Western Medical Trauma Center in Santa Ana and spent three years looking after the feet of freedom fighters of the United States Air Force in Fairfield, California.When Dr. Su isn't in the office providing great care for your feet, he spends his time with wife, Jennifer, sons Blake and Scott, and daughter Kellie. He and his family reside in Chandler, where he is just a phone call away. Set your worries and anxieties aside. I attended medical school at Midwestern University where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). I then completed a rigorous surgical residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center, in the department of Orthopedics where he received extensive training in Sports Medicine, Trauma Surgery, and a full array of more common foot and ankle ailments. I also have assisted with research which has been published in The Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and the Surgery Journal.On a personal note, I played collegiate baseball and love to play golf and enjoy staying active playing softball, doing cross fit, and running. My passion for athletics helps relate to injured athletes of all ages and support them in their recovery every step of the way. In the past I have had the privilege to give back to the community help as a medical volunteer for events such as the PGA Tour's Texas Valero Open, Phoenix Rock-N-Roll Marathon, and Arizona Ironman.
