Overview
Dr. Golda Hudes is a Professor of Medicine (Allergy and Immunology) and of Otorhinolaryngology at Einstein. Her research focuses on asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis. She is a Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of traditional and experimental drugs in asthma. Dr. Hudes collaborates with Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Mayo Clinic on the research project evaluating biologic treatment in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis. Currently she is investigating the relationship between different asthma phenotypes and COVID 19 infection outcomes as well as persistent eosinophilia etiologic factors in inner city population. Her past research focused on immune changes in patients with bronchial asthma during speleotherapy in karst caves. She has published journal articles, abstracts, review articles and book chapters. She mentored numerous fellows, residents and medical students, rotating through the Allergy Division.
