Dr. Luba Rakhlin
Overview
Luba Rakhlin, MD, is an endocrinologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Rakhlin cares for patients with a wide range of endocrine system disorders, including treatment of diabetes, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders. With a focus on whole-person care, she meets patients where they are to help them manage their conditions and return to living happy, healthy lives. She is fluent in English and Russian.Dr. Rakhlin earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before completing an internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She remained in New York City to finish an endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Before joining the endocrinology team at AMG, Dr. Rakhlin worked as an attending physician for the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Rakhlin conducts research within her field, with a particular focus on diabetes and thyroid cancer. She has authored several publications for peer-reviewed medical journals and manuscripts. She has also presented her work at various national and international conferences. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, as well as a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
