Overview
I am a pediatric endocrinologist who cares for children with diabetes and many other hormone disorders. I have a special interest in pediatric thyroid disease, including pediatric thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules and children who have an increased risk for developing thyroid cancer due to radiation exposure or genetic conditions, such as multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2. I specialize in therapeutic options, including medications, to treat patients with childhood obesity. I value taking the time to help my patients and their families understand their condition. In fact, this is part of what drew me to become a physician. I am originally from Virginia Beach but have called the Triangle home since 2011. Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family, reading, and visiting national parks and beaches.

On a personal note, I grew up in the Triangle and feel very fortunate to continue to live and work in this beautiful area.
