
Overview
Dr. Sarah Shaw earned her medical degree while attending West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. She went on to complete her general surgery osteopathic residency through the Geisinger Health System in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and her surgical critical care fellowship through Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del. She is board-certified in general surgery.Dr. Shaw has worked in the areas of trauma and acute care surgery since 2021. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Society of Critical Care Medicine. When not in the office or operating room, Dr. Shaw enjoys rock climbing, hiking, traveling and relaxing with a good book.

He completed his general surgery residency at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown before going on to complete his surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Maryland/R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Dr. Khan has written numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and periodically presents on topics related to surgical critical care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of many organizations, including the Eastern Association for Surgery in Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society.
