Dr. Jeffrey M. Cohen

Megan Leitch, MD, is a fellowship-trained neurologist with Atlantic Medical Group’s Atlantic Neuroscience Associates. Board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, she has clinical expertise in general neurology as well as in treating patients with a wide variety of neurologic conditions. She has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders, including muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and ALS. In addition, Dr, Leitch is experienced in performing electrodiagnostic testing. She works closely with a team of specialized nurse practitioners to ensure the highest quality and timely care is provided to all her patients.An avid educator, Dr. Leitch served as an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medicine School (RWJMS), New Brunswick, NJ, where she was named the Department of Neurology’s Outstanding Teacher in 2016, before being named associate professor. She also served as program director of the university’s neurology residency program, consulted with its neuromuscular outpatient clinic, neurology inpatients, and multidisciplinary ALS clinic, and served as clinic director of the Rutgers RWJMS chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and interim director of the RWJMS ALS Clinic.After earning her medical degree at University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, Dr. Leitch completed her residency in neurology at The Neurological Institute at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NYC, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and neurophysiology.The author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Leitch has presented many times on the subjects of adult muscle disease, diabetic neuropathy, and myasthenia gravis. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization. He is board-certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine.After graduating magna cum laude from New York University College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor of arts in chemistry, Dr. Tarulli attended New York University School of Medicine for his medical degree. He completed his internship and residency in neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York, serving as a chief resident, then went on to become a neurophysiology research fellow. His research on neuromuscular disorders received National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding and his years of schooling are peppered with multiple awards including outstanding teacher, as well as recognition for his research initiatives from Harvard Medical School.Dr. Tarulli has been frequently invited to speak on a wide range of muscle and nerve disorders, both locally and nationally. He has authored multiple textbooks and book chapters, and has published an extensive list of articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Tarulli was editorial board chairman of the AANEM Science News, a journal of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, where he is also a member of the Neuromuscular Assessment Examination committee.Dr. Tarulli maintains professional memberships in the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology.
