He grew up in St. Charles, graduating from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in 1991 and from Duchesne High School in 1995. He then attended St. Louis University, where he majored in biology while minoring in philosophy and theology. In college, Dr. Conoyer was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Societies. He graduated summa cum laude in 1999 and was selected for early admission to the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Vanderbilt in 2003. After medical school, Dr. Conoyer continued his medical training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he served his surgical internship from 2003-2004 and his residency in otolaryngology—head & neck surgery from 2004-2008. During residency, he authored multiple medical textbook contributions and original scientific articles. His original findings linking smoking to hearing loss garnered attention from national news outlets and many scientific citations. After serving a year as Chief Resident, he moved his family back home to St. Charles County to join Midwest ENT Centre in 2008. Since that time, Dr. Conoyer has developed a reputation as a regional early adopter of emerging medical technologies and minimally-invasive surgical procedures that offer better outcomes and quality-of-life to his patients. He was the first in the bi-state area to perform an in-office balloon sinus dilation procedure and remains among the nation’s most experienced with these procedures. He has similarly been a pioneer with many other office-based ENT technologies, including the Vivaer® procedure (treating nasal obstruction), Eustachian tube dilation, posterior nasal nerve treatments for vasomotor rhinitis, steroid-eluting sinus implantations and the fitting and placement of direct-drive hearing aids.
