Dr. Avila is board-certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also board-certified in clinical neuromuscular pathology by the United Council of Neurological Subspecialties. He subspecializes in neuromuscular medicine, clinical neurophysiology and clinical neuromuscular pathology. Dr. Avila earned his medical degree from Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on medical management from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts.
