Dr. Colleen P. Ramsey
Overview
I approach my practice as a partnership between me and my patients -- providing them with knowledge to improve and sustain their overall health for acute care, chronic illness and preventative health. I learn as much from them as they do from me. It is an honor and a privilege to take care of patients and their families, and to know they entrust their lives to you. I can't see myself doing anything else. I moved to North Carolina in 1992 from New Jersey, and joined Durham Medical Center in 1995. How fortunate and blessed I am to work with a wonderful group of providers. It was in my seventh grade science class when I realized how much I enjoyed science and all that it entailed. I have always been a people person and like to say I never meet a stranger. So working in medicine has been more than fulfilling. Working at Duke has been remarkable with access to a host of specialist and services for the patients I serve. I am truly humbled to be part of an organization where patients come first!.
