He served as chief resident there in 2017. His research and findings have appeared in several industry publications including Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and Journal of Clinical Oncology. He also won the Radiological Society of North America Roentgen Research Award for his work in 2018.PERSONAL When he's not treating patients, Dr. Francis enjoys spending time with his wife, three young sons and newborn daughter. He also serves in his church and enjoys board games, gardening, hiking and trail running.I truly enjoy getting to know each of my patients as I seek to understand their individual situations, goals and desires. My own father's battle with cancer inspired me to become a radiation oncologist and helps me relate better to what my patients and their families are going through. EDUCATION Dr. Cohen attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA for his undergraduate studies. In May 1984, he graduated with departmental honors in chemistry.
