Dr. David Burstein

After practicing Nephrology in a large group in Chicago for 13 years and developing a very large and successful clinical practice, I made the difficult decision to leave and start anew. The incentive for this change came from my desire to find a Nephrology practice that had the same core values that I have striven for throughout my career: the practice of compassionate, high quality, state of the art nephrology; one that provides excellent medical care, educates patients, and enhances the quality of their lives. I feel fortunate to have found such a practice in AKDHC. I truly enjoy the interaction and the bond that develops in the physician-patient relationship. I feel that optimal quality healthcare is best achieved through the active participation of both parties, making this relationship all the more important. My practice style is informal and relaxed, striving to make patients feel at ease. In my spare time, my greatest pleasure is to spend time at home or traveling with my wife and two young daughters. I also enjoy a variety of outdoor sports and activities, which are what drew my family to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
