
Overview
Joseph M. White, M.D., is a vascular and endovascular surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. White treats patients at Suburban Hospital who need care for peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and limb salvage, carotid disease, aneurysm repair and thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. White served 15 years in the United States Army as an Associate Professor of Surgery and Attending Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. During his time on active duty, Dr. White achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC), directed with Battlefield Shock & Organ Support (BSOS) research program at the Uniformed Services University, and completed multiple deployments. Dr. White received his degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, The Chicago Medical School. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is currently a member of the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS), the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and the Society for Vascular Surgery (FSVS).
