I was high school valedictorian before attending the University of Virginia for my undergraduate studies. I then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School, which is where I met my wife, Brooke. After medical school, we moved to Delaware for my general surgery training. We then moved to Cleveland, which is where we lived while I completed my Plastic Surgery Fellowship with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. I loved the idea that every day is different when you work in plastic surgery. I feel like I get to know the patients better, too, than when I trained in general surgery. I really enjoy building that relationship with patients. There's a creative aspect to it as well.
