Many women deal with their gynecological issues in silence for fear they won’t be taken seriously. This can lead women to stop doing the things they love, deteriorating their quality of life. I specialized in gynecology to help address the issues many women feel they must bear alone. I ran a solo gynecology practice for 15 years in Upstate NY in two underserved communities. I was moved by the dire need for advanced gynecology care in the area, especially surgical care. To meet their needs, I specialized in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotics, as well as urogynecology procedures, so patients could receive care for issues like abnormal bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and uterine/vaginal prolapse. I provide gynecologic and specialist care for pelvic floor conditions. Common conditions I treat include: urinary leakage, pelvic organ prolapse, heavy menstrual bleeding, postpartum pelvic floor issues, pelvic fistulas, and fibroids. I aim to help women understand the details of their condition and the possible options for treatment such that they feel empowered to make an informed decision. Outside of medicine, I enjoy the outdoors with my family and stay active cycling, running, and doing yoga. My husband and I are foodies and enjoy the Triangle food scene.
