Dr. Fawad A. Tufail

Dr. Allison Liddell was born in Dallas, Texas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated cum laude with a degree in Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist throughout medical school. Dr. Liddell earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Her internship and residency were completed at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri where she served as chief resident. Dr. Lidell completed her medical training at Washington University School of Medicine, also in St. Louis, as a fellow in infectious diseases in clinical and research settings.Dr. Liddell currently serves as Chief of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Texas Health Dallas where she is also dedicated to teaching and is a faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and serves as Chair of the Committee to Evaluate Clinical Competency. Dr. Liddell is the Medical Director of Infection Control at Texas Health Dallas, as well as, Texas Institute for Surgery in Dallas. She is Chair of the Pharmacy &Therapeutics Committee and a Member of the Practitioner Performance Evaluation Committee at Texas Health Dallas.Dr. Liddell has been named as D Magazines Best Doctors in infectious diseases since 2004. Although Dr. Shane Alexander recently called New York City home, he is a native Texan. He earned his medical degree and a Master of Public Health at the UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine/School of Public Health in Fort Worth. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Alexander completed his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases from the esteemed Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City. He is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.Dr. Alexander's areas of special focus and research include exploration of the patterns of infectious diseases in cancer patients and investigating factors that impact outcomes in opportunistic fungal infections. As an advocate for infection control and antimicrobial stewardship, Dr. Alexander has served on several related committees during his residency and fellowship training.He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society, Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. Dr. M. Shahbaz Hasan was born in Khairpur, Pakistan. He attended college at DJ Science College in Karachi, Pakistan before earning his medical degree in 1989, at Dow Medical College, also located in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Hasan completed his internship and residency at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1994. His fellowship training in infectious diseases was completed in 1996 at UT Southwestern Medical School and Dallas VA Medical Center. Dr. Hasan is board-certified in infectious diseases, hospice and palliative care.After completion of his training, Dr. Hasan served as an associate professor of Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical School as well as a staff physician at the Dallas VA Medical Center, from 1996 through 2005. He was also a staff physician at Baylor Grapevine Hospital. In 2007 he joined InfectiousCare and has become an integral part of the Residency Training Program of Texas Health Dallas. He is a recipient of the Robert L. North Award for teaching. Dr. Hasan is the clerkship director for Junior Medical Students of UT Southwestern Medical School based at Texas Health Dallas.
