Matthew Hartnett, MD joined The Iowa Clinic in 2022 and chose this physician-owned and led multispecialty Clinic because he felt it is the best place for him to be able to build a practice that best serves his patients. He grew up in Clear Lake, Iowa and finished his residency in 2022. Dr. Hartnett is most excited to be able to get to know his patients and hear their stories through the internal medicine department, which allows him to practice a wide variety of medicine and do a little bit of everything. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, going for long walks, playing squash, and trying new foods. If he didn’t become a provider, he would have liked to have been a professional athlete or pursue something in sports medicine.
