I was born and raised in Louisiana in a city just outside of New Orleans. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina, I moved to Monroe, Louisiana where I graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Louisiana. We then moved north to Michigan where I completed my OBGYN residency in Detroit.
