Overview
Dr. Stella Lee is a fellowship-trained rhinologist and director of the Brigham Sinus Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. Her holistic and evidence-based approach seeks to understand the cause of symptoms in order to best treat the underlying disease process and improve the quality of life of her patients. Dr. Lee is experienced in the comprehensive medical and surgical management of patients with sinonasal and skull base disorders including nasal obstruction, smell loss, sinusitis, nasal polyps, allergic rhinitis, tumors of the sinuses, nose, and skull base as well as the treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. Her philosophy is to provide multi-disciplinary care with experts in the field to achieve the best outcome possible for her patients.Dr. Lee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Duke University before attending the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at Johns Hopkins University. Before joining the Brigham faculty, Dr. Lee served as the Division Chief for Sinonasal Disorders and Allergy in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for ten years. Her research interests include understanding the inflammatory endotypes of chronic rhinosinusitis, olfactory dysfunction, the impact of environmental pollution on airway inflammation, and development of basic to translational strategies to solve chronic inflammation (www.solvecrs.org). She is a leader in the development of novel therapeutics and creation of new paradigms of how we conceptualize and treat sinus and skull base disorders.
