Dr. Miele’s major clinical interests embrace many aspects of neurosurgery, but are focused on spinal disorders including pathologies associated with degeneration and trauma, complex spinal instrumentation, and spine tumors. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive spine surgery and the newer motion preservation technologies as well as the larger surgeries required for conditions such as adolescent/adult spinal deformity and the multidisciplinary treatment of spinal tumors.
