Coming from a family of physicians, Dr. Ume Kakwan knew from a young age that she would pursue medicine. She chose her specialty in geriatric medicine to address a great need in the United States to care for an aging population. 'As people age, their needs change,' she said. 'At MatureWell we're given the opportunity to spend more time with our elderly patients and move beyond traditional medicine to attend to the whole family.'
