Overview
Dr. Katherine Lamond is the Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatrics Surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery for Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She specializes in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, and performs the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy and Adjustable Gastric Banding at Sibley. She is also a surgeon with Johns Hopkins Surgery at Sibley, where she practices general surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. More recently, Dr. Lamond served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 2012-2015, prior to transitioning her practice to Sibley Memorial Hospital. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is active in both the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
