
Overview
Dr. Sarah Mitchell has been a board-certified general surgeon in the DFW area since 2020, primarily serving the trauma surgical needs of North Texans. Since 2022, she also has served as an assistant professor in the Departments of Surgery at Texas Christian University and the University of North Texas Health Science Center, both in Fort Worth. She is fellowship-trained in endocrine surgery and uses endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques to treat cancerous tumors, gastrointestinal reflux, thyroid disease, thoracic disorders and other concerns. Dr. Mitchell earned her medical degree Magna Cum Laude while attending The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She also completed her general surgery residency at UTHSC in San Antonio. She went on to complete her endocrine surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
