Overview
I began my health care career as a paramedic in Eastern North Carolina. During that time, I saw a true need for quality providers in the community and decided to become a physician assistant. My physician assistant experience began in cardiothoracic critical care and I now practice in general cardiology. What I enjoy most about being a physician assistant is the opportunity to connect with patients on a personal level, listening to their concerns, and partnering with them to develop a treatment plan. I want my patients to feel comfortable during the visit and leave with a clear understanding of their condition and the treatment. To me, this personal connection is the privilege of medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy all the beauty North Carolina has to offer from the mountains to the coast. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.
