In addition to her expertise in managing complex gynecologic cancers Dr. Tomita has collaborated on research into the early detection of gynecologic cancer, understanding the genetics of ovarian cancer, and the treatment of endometrial, ovarian, and other cancers of the female reproductive system. She is a member of the Society of Gynecological Oncology. After earning her degree from the State University of New York Downstate, Dr. Tomita completed her residency at Mount Sinai West/Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, in NYC. Following this, she spent two years in the Mount Sinai Ovarian Cancer Translational Research Lab in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, after which she pursued fellowship training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a program at the forefront of providing the highest level of care and robust training in gynecologic oncology.
