I became interested in obstetrics and gynecology when my older sister was an OB-GYN resident but really fell in love with it in my own third-year rotation. No other specialty was as exciting and interesting to me as OB-GYN. | Community involvement | I’m part of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, but on a more local level, I feel a real connection to the community from having delivered babies. Because I live in the area, I see plenty of patients whose children I delivered, and it’s always nice to run into them at the grocery, school, daycare – just about anywhere. It’s fun to watch babies I delivered grow, and to have parents tell their kids that I helped bring them into the world. | Personal interests | Outside of work, most of my time is taken up by activities with my kids. I do like to run and have done multiple races, including a few half marathons. Some of these are charitable events, and one that I do annually is the Susan B.
