Dr. Loren Fickies

Loren Fickies, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN who has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for over a decade. Dr. Fickies has cared for thousands of mothers and babies, and has vast experience with the complexities of prenatal care and birth should challenges arise. In the continually evolving field of OB/GYN, she enjoys counseling patients and families around both routine and difficult issues to arrive at optimal health solutions. This includes an interest in health care equity, maternal mental health, and preventive care and wellness in adolescence through the post-menopause years. Dr. Fickies earned her doctorate at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, where she developed her interest in global women's health. She completed postgraduate training in OB/GYN in New York City, with an internship at Albert Einstein / Montefiore Medical Center, and residency at Lutheran Medical Center. This included clinical experience in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Fickies provides maternity care and high-risk obstetric services and sees patients for inpatient and ambulatory gynecologic surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures. Her practice philosophy is based on individualized care in a warm, patient-centered environment.
