I am particularly passionate about helping children with complex genitourinary birth defects, neurogenic bladder/bowel due to spinal disorders such as spina bifida, and disorders of sex differentiation. Additionally, I offer minimally invasive approaches including robotic surgery. Although I meet most of my patients during childhood, I follow many through adolescence and even into adulthood building strong relationships with both them and their families. As a mother, I know how scary doctors visits especially those involving surgery, can be for children and parents. By engaging both families and children in their healthcare experience, we can work as a team creating a plan that always prioritizes the health and happiness of the patient. Being trusted to care for a child is a great privilege as I know that each child is someone’s favorite person.
