Dr. Evan Graber is a board-certified pediatrician who specializes in pediatric endocrinology. He has authored several papers about endocrine disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Osteopathic Association, the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Endocrine Society. I worked a lot with children throughout high school and college and I have always felt like I establish a good rapport with children and their families. I love coming to work every day.Endocrinology always interested me because it’s a field that allows a physician to follow a patient from childhood until he or she “graduates” to adult medical care. It’s really important for me to be able to see these kids grow and succeed, as well as being able to form a relationship with their families. I also enjoy the problem-solving aspect of endocrinology, where I can put the pieces of the puzzle together to get a diagnosis and hopefully improve my patients’ quality of life. Every child is different, every family is different, and I like to be able to personalize medical care. I also think establishing a dialogue with families is very important when it comes to providing good patient care. I am passionate about advocating for my patients. It’s amazing to me that in 2015, there is still a lot of misunderstanding about how to handle conditions like diabetes —mostly from community members who might interact with kids with diabetes. They’re scared of the condition because they’re not familiar with the care involved with diabetes treatment the way the families are. I think it’s important to make people comfortable with it, and help them understand that kids with diabetes can live like everyone else, and that there are set protocols that we teach children and families — there’s nothing to be scared of. When I describe diabetes to children I explain that they’re just like everyone else, they just have to do a little “extra.” I think it’s important to spread that message. I try to keep the lines of communication open between the families I treat and me. I want my patients to understand why I’m doing a given test. I find that families are more willing to discuss options when they understand their care, and they appreciate when I discuss why I’m choosing a certain treatment. It results in a better relationship with the family, and that improves patient care.I also try to make myself as accessible as I can. I’ll call families with test results, and will make time to see families if they need to come to the hospital to discuss things with me personally. I’ll advocate for my patients with insurance companies or pharmacies to get medications cleared. I want my patient families to know that I’ll work with them to make sure they get the best care possible. Dr. Graber is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Precocious Puberty. He is also highly rated in 25 other conditions, according to our data. Preethi Kumar, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician. She is passionate about teaching families about ways to get and stay healthy. I get immense pleasure from treating children because these are the kids who see you for close to 20 years. You see them grow up. Over that time, you see children sick, you treat them to get well, you watch them grow, and you see them flourish. Sometimes those kids, once they’ve grown and started their own families, bring their children to us. I get a lot of satisfaction from that. I love teaching and explaining things to families. This is more than a job to me, it’s a passion. Making one child feel better, having one family comfortable and happy, I’ve done my job. At the end of the day, what I’m looking for is, “How many did I treat today? How many did I make happy? How many lives did I make feel better today?” When I see people walking out of here happy and healthy, that’s all I need. One big way I try to make a difference is through education and teaching. I give talks at schools.I try to make a difference to my patients by being available when they need me. I make a lot of follow-up phone calls. I talk with parents and ask about their other children. I talk with them if my families see me out shopping or in the community. I try to remember the little details, all as a part of knowing the family and building a relationship with them. Educating the parents gives them the best tools to make the right decisions for their child. Dr. Kumar is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Precocious Puberty. She is also highly rated in 4 other conditions, according to our data. Her clinical expertise encompasses Common Cold, Food Allergy, Cluster Headache, and Obesity in Children. Dr. Kumar is board certified in American Board Of Pediatrics.

I’m a former high school teacher turned doctor. I made the move because I realized that I could make a real difference in the lives of children through medicine. Today, I treat children with a wide range of thyroid, hormone, and other endocrine disorders. I’m married, with two grown children, and I’m an avid movie fan. I taught high school for three years before going to medical school and becoming a pediatric endocrinologist. I like helping people and soon learned that the best way to accomplish that is to concentrate on each individual patient as I see them. It’s very satisfying when I can provide the correct diagnosis and treatment for the child, and relief for the child’s family. I am passionate being a parent and sharing my knowledge with students who are training to become doctors. I enjoy mentoring our residents who are interested in pursuing a career in pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Doyle is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Precocious Puberty. Anthony Gannon, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and internist who specializes in endocrine disorders for children and adults. His practice is geared towards treatment of complex endocrine disease, endocrine tumors and helping teenagers transition to adult care. I chose to train as a pediatric endocrinologist because I consider it a privilege and joy to work together with children and their families with the goal of helping them to better understand and control their diseases.I see the purpose of my practice to teach and empower children and families so that they can achieve their goals in treatment and in life. My practice is unique in that I am also a practicing adult endocrinologist. This means I’m able to provide clinical follow-up to children as they become adults, and also to help prepare them, and their families, for the transition into adult clinics. I specialized in endocrinology because the hormone systems are complicated, but fascinating, and I think there’s tremendous opportunity to improve the quality of life for patients. I’m interested in working with children of all ages who have complex endocrine disease, including endocrine tumors.I chose to complete separate pediatric and adult training programs so that I could be best equipped to assist children and their families to move more smoothly through the transition process into adult clinics. I am excited to be part of the Nemours Children’s Health System because this has enabled me to partner with Christiana Care Health System to form a true endocrinology transitions program. Endocrinology is a unique field because there is no single answer for every family, and this allows a lot of room for personalization of care. I think the most valuable tool I have to offer families is to provide education and empower them to manage their diseases and to achieve the goals that are most important to them. Dr. Gannon is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Precocious Puberty. He is also highly rated in 22 other conditions, according to our data. His clinical expertise encompasses Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), Pediatric Growth Hormone Deficiency, Diabetes Insipidus (DI), and Neurohypophyseal Diabetes Insipidus. Dr. Gannon is board certified in American Board Of Internal Medicine.

I grew up in a small town in Argentina where everybody knows everybody. I trained at a hospital in Buenos Aires, was elected chief resident, and then received further training in neonatology and Emergency Medicine before moving to Wilmington with my wife, Dr. Petrini. I really enjoyed the time I spent training in medical school and I enjoyed the pediatric part the most. So I decided to take that path and have never regretted it. Kids have the fire inside, and bounce back quickly. I’m passionate about helping people in general, especially children. I advocate for immunizations, which are one of the wonders of medicine, along with educating kids about obesity, asthma and the importance of complying with medication regimens. These are very serious issues in many populations. My other big passion is creating a medical home for my patient families. The medical home concept combines teamwork and information technology to improve patient care, reduce health care costs, and improve patients’ experiences. The goal is to foster an ongoing partnership between patients and their health care providers. I did mission work with a group that spent a month helping people in the Andes mountain range in South America. It was a beautiful experience, sharing habits and culture, and it taught me to put myself in other people’s shoes and see things from their perspective. What is the definition of Precocious Puberty?

Puberty is the time when a person's sexual and physical characteristics mature. Precocious puberty is when these body changes happen earlier than normal.

When should I see a Precocious Puberty doctor in Delaware, US?

There are various reasons why you may want to see a specialist, such as:

    • Your primary care provider recommends it.
    • Your condition requires expert knowledge and specialized care.
    • Your symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment.
    • You need specialized testing or procedures.
    • You want a second opinion.

What should I consider when choosing a Precocious Puberty doctor in Delaware, US?

It’s important to see a provider with expertise in your specific condition. Each provider profile in MediFind’s doctor database includes information on which conditions they treat, years of experience, research contributions, languages spoken, insurance plans accepted, and more.

How does MediFind rank Precocious Puberty doctors in Delaware, US?

MediFind’s rankings are based on a variety of data sources, such as the number of articles a doctor has published in medical journals, participation in clinical trials and industry conferences, as well as the number of patients that provider sees for a given condition. Note that MediFind’s provider database is not based on user reviews, and providers do not pay to be included in the database.

What types of insurance are accepted by Precocious Puberty doctors in Delaware, US?

Most profiles in MediFind’s doctor database include a list of insurance plans accepted by that provider. However, it’s a good idea to contact the provider’s office to make sure they still accept your insurance, then doublecheck by contacting your insurance plan to confirm they’re in network.

How can I book an appointment online with a Precocious Puberty doctor in Delaware, US?

MediFind offers direct scheduling for certain providers using the “Request Appointment” button on that provider’s profile. If the schedule option is not available for a provider, tap the red “Show Phone Number” button on their profile to get their contact information. If you prefer to find providers who offer online scheduling, select “Schedules online” under the “Availability” category of the filter feature on the left side of the Precocious Puberty doctor search results page.

Why is it important to get a second opinion from a different Precocious Puberty doctor?

Second opinions are an opportunity to confirm a diagnosis and its root cause, learn about alternative treatment options, or simply gain peace of mind. Many people, especially those with serious diagnoses, get second opinions so they can understand all their options and make informed decisions, so don’t hesitate to get one if you have any doubts or need more information or clarification regarding your care. Note that some insurance plans require second opinions, while others don’t cover second opinions, so be sure to confirm with your insurance provider first.

How can I prepare for my appointment with a Precocious Puberty doctor in Delaware, US?

Prepare for your appointment by gathering the following items:

    • Copies of medical records (dating back at least one year)
    • Your medical history, including illnesses, medical conditions, surgeries, and other doctors you see
    • Family history of disease
    • List of current prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal remedies or supplements including names and doses
    • Allergies to medications, food, latex, insects, etc.
    • List of questions and concerns
    • Your insurance card

You might also contact the provider’s office to see if they offer transportation or childcare services or if you’re allowed to bring a loved one for support or to take notes during your visit.

What questions should I ask my Precocious Puberty doctor?

    Here are some sample questions:

    • Can you explain in simple terms what this condition is and how it’s treated?
    • What symptoms or side effects should I watch for?
    • What tests will be involved, and when can I expect results?
    • Are there other specialists I need to see?
    • What’s the best way to reach you if I have follow-up questions?

How can I learn about the latest clinical trials and research advances my Precocious Puberty doctor may know about?

MediFind’s Clinical Trials tool asks you a series of questions to help you narrow down your search by health condition, age, gender, location, how far you’re willing to travel, and more. Each question you answer filters down the number of trials until you find the ones that are most relevant to you.

MediFind’s Latest Advances tool features summaries of recent articles published in medical journals. We use cutting-edge technology to scour medical publication databases for the latest research advancements on any given condition, then we simplify this information in a way that’s useful and easy to understand.

Can I filter my search to show male or female Precocious Puberty doctors in Delaware, US?

Look for the filter feature on the left side of the Precocious Puberty doctor search results page. Select “Female” or “Male” under the “Gender” category to search for female or male providers exclusively. If the “Any” option is selected, it will pull results for both male and female providers.

Can I filter my search to find a Precocious Puberty doctor that offers video calls?

Look for the filter feature on the left-side of the Precocious Puberty doctor search results page. Select “Offers telehealth visits” under the Availability category to search for providers who offer virtual appointments (video calls).
