Lindsay Cheu, M.D. (she/her), is an obstetrician-gynecologist with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Cheu delivers babies and operates at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. She has trained in diverse practice settings at Northwestern University in Chicago for medical school and the University of Washington for residency, in which she practiced in seven different hospital systems including a rural site and Seattle’s level 1 trauma center. She brings this broad expertise to her practice here in Maryland and values listening to each patient’s unique story. From annual visits to delivering babies and operating, Dr. Cheu enjoys that each day is different as a Gyn/Ob. Ahizechukwu C Eke, M.B. Dr. Eke earned his undergraduate degree from Federal Government College, Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria, and his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He completed two obstetrics and gynecology residencies – at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria (2005-2010) and at Michigan State University/Sparrow Hospital, which he completed in 2016, and then completed Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland in 2019. He earned an MPH from the Harvard University School of Public Health in 2011, and a PhD in Clinical Investigation from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation (GTPCI) in 2021. He joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2019. Dr. Eke serves on a number of national and international boards and committees. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), Delta Omega Alpha (DOA), the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM), the American Public Health Association (APHA), the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), and the Infectious Disease Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently serves on the Committee on Practice Bulletins (CPG) of ACOG, and is a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) committee on 'Developing a framework to address legal, ethical, regulatory, and policy issues for research specific to pregnant and lactating Persons'. Dr. Eke is an editorial board member of Obstetrics and Gynecology (the Green Journal) and the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM Evidence). He is an active member of NIH study sections. Dr. Eke has published several articles in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine journals, and written numerous textbook chapters. He is a journal reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals in his specialty, including Obstetrics & Gynecology (Green Journal), American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Gray Journal), and the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Angie Jelin is the assistant director of prenatal genetics at the Prenatal Diagnostic Center in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Her areas of clinical expertise include prenatal genetic counseling, fetal imaging, chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis, with a focus on fetal complications in pregnancy. Dr. Jelin earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco, and then remained there to complete a maternal-fetal medicine and genetics fellowship. In 2015, Dr. Jelin joined the Johns Hopkins faculty, at which time she also received a Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health grant to study fetal genetic disorders. Dr. Jelin’s research involves fetal imaging and genetic diagnoses, including whole exome sequencing. Dr. Jelin is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the International Society of Prenatal Diagnosis. She currently serves on the IRB committee of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Jelin has published many articles in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine journals.
