He completed his undergraduate studies and medical school at Boston University.  Following completion of internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Simhan completed fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Infectious Diseases and Immunology.  He also received a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh.
