My pediatrician was most influential. She was gentle and caring, including me in everything she did. I loved using her stethoscope and looking in her ears. I remember wanting to be just like her. I entered medical school planning to be a pediatrician but found myself drawn to obstetrics. There was something very special about caring for pregnant women and being part of their nine-month journey. It was my natural path. | Community involvement | I am active in my church, and I participate in many activities that support children and families, such as Toys for Tots, the March of Dimes walk and community clothing drives. | Personal interests | When I am not working, I love to spend time with my husband and two young daughters. As a working mom, it's sometimes difficult to find time for all the activities I enjoy. You could say that hiking, traveling, kayaking and reading are on my wish list!.
