Overview
Ahmad Hanif, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician specializing in medical oncology. He provides a variety of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. “I work closely with surgeons and radiation oncologists to treat cancer in the best possible way,” he says.|Dr. Hanif earned his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He followed that with an internal medicine residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center of Albert Einstein University in Bronx, NY. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo.|He’s an active member of a number of professional organizations, including The American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society.|Dr. Hanif is an accomplished presenter and researcher. His work focuses primarily on cancer immunotherapy and novel therapeutics. He was invited to participate in the ASCO/AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop. There, he developed a Phase 1 protocol for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors. The research earned him a grant from the Neuroendocrine Tumors Research Foundation as well as several awards.
