Most recently heserved as Director of the Division of Urologic Oncology and ViceChair in the Department of Urology at NYU Langone Health, as well asGenitourinary Program Leader in the Perlmutter Cancer Center.Dr. Taneja has conducted extensive clinical research on the use ofimaging in prostate cancer and is considered a pioneer in the use ofMRI to diagnose and localize prostate cancer and the emerging field ofprostate cancer focal therapy. He has authored more than 250 articles,30 book chapters, and six textbooks and monographs on urologiccancer and surgery. He is the editor of Taneja's Complications ofUrologic Surgery: Prevention and Diagnosis, one of the most widely readtextbooks in American Urology.
