My path to medicine was non-traditional. Although I've always had a keen interest in science and a desire to be of service to others, I didn't become a doctor until halfway through a far-flung 25-year Navy career. Family Medicine has been a perfect fit for me, as I've had the privilege of treating a broad range of patients in a wide variety of settings. I've come to believe that the most important and powerful factor in bringing wellness into medical care is a mutually respectful and compassionate relationship between doctors and their patients. My kids are the greatest joy in my life, and I try to spend as much time with them as possible.
