She completed the Ohio State University College of Medicine Medical Careers Pathway Post Baccalaureate Program (MEDPATH) and went on to complete her medical school training at OSU. Her general surgery residency began at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and was completed at UCSF Fresno. She was a surgical oncology research fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and completed a cardiothoracic surgery clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  Dr. Wilder is certified by the American Board of Surgery and she is currently getting her Master of Public Health degree through Harvard University, Chan School of Public Health.
