At Duke Health, I am fortunate to be part of a world-class orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction surgery team that is committed to outstanding patient care. I specialize in fracture surgery, complex fracture-related infections, shoulder replacement for shoulder fractures, as well as direct anterior approach hip replacement for arthritis or previous hip fractures. I cherish the opportunity to be there for my patients during their time of most need. I chose orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction surgery because I have the unique opportunity to provide a solution to challenging problems every day as part of a multidisciplinary team. As an orthopaedic trauma surgeon, I meet many of my patients during the most difficult time of their lives. I am honored to be able to provide excellent surgical treatment for my patients in their time of need, but I am also humbled to lead the team that helps them through their recovery after surgery. Whether it's in the emergency room for a fracture or in the office for a problem related to hip arthritis, I look forward to meeting you and working with you to build a plan specific to your needs to maximize your chances of recovery.

Treatment may include careful observation with therapy or surgical options that involve nerve decompression, repair, or reconstruction or extremity reanimation through muscle, tendon, or bone-based surgeries. In providing comprehensive multi-disciplinary care to achieve the best outcome, we have established a peripheral nerve team with providers from neurosurgery, plastic surgery, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Understanding that recovering from nerve injuries takes time, my team and I will be alongside you at each step in your journey toward restoring function and well-being.
