Dr. Carwin grew up in an Air Force family, so she moved many times but considers Washington, DC her hometown as she spent 14 formative years there, including college and fellowship. She attended George Washington University in Washington, DC for undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Art in Latin American Studies.
