I also rely on scientific evidence, research and clinical guidelines, and I do my best to provide the most effective and up-to-date care while considering individual circumstances and preferences. | Why I entered medicine | I was drawn to medicine and more specifically urology because of the long-term relationships doctors can develop with their patients. Physicians often work closely with other health care professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Such collaboration can foster a holistic approach to managing complex medical conditions. I was also attracted to medicine because of the ethical principles physicians endeavor to uphold, including respecting patient autonomy, confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries. We as physicians are tasked with prioritizing the well-being and best interests of our patients while considering the broader societal and ethical implications of our decisions. | Community involvement | I served in the U.S. Army the past 10 years and participated in humanitarian missions.
