During medical school, Dr. Kastrup’s research efforts focused on mallet finger injuries and his outcomes are referenced in multiple orthopedic textbooks.Following medical school, Dr. Kastrup completed his orthopedic internship and residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. He completed an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic in adult reconstructive surgery where his fellowship involved the treatment of arthritis and joint replacement for the shoulder, hip and knee.Dr. Kastrup was raised in Cincinnati, OH.
